heh, but first, had my first time banquet server experience at marina mandarin on monday. my hotel is supposed to be fullerton and i'm supposed to only work saturday, but they desperately need ppl, so in the end i decided to go. i swear omg it's so tiring. serving dishes, changing plates, refilling drinks is still okay. it's the clearing of the tables and waste food that is omg, plain yuck. got my hand all sticky with mango icecream with sago, chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic chili, and so much other nonsense eek. teamed up with a comical auntie who taught me quite abit of stuff that i need to know :D 2 servers to 3 tables. but i dont know why, the wedding dinner guests sat down at 7.30, but first course the cold platter we only served at 8.40. so after the 3rd course which is the chicken, it's like hectic. no time to refill drinks properly. glad that my tables' people are friendly though, not the complaining type! :)
supposed to end work at 1130, but the manager come in, yell, everyone keep your bloody mouth shut all of you work until 1230 for me i dont care if you got school got work going out tmr, i dont care. you work for me until 1230. so like i have a choice, stayed for another hour. so okay, there's transport home. supposed to take the 1240 bus, but we were released at 1230 and went to sign out, changed out of uniform, returned it, then proceed to sign out of hotel at security point, went out of hotel but no donkey idea where the transport point is, and by the time we got there the bloody bus left. so had to wait for the 130am bus instead :@. reached home at 245, slept at 4 :(
oh, before i went to work on monday i was damn pissed off. i woke up at 11.30am to be called by my banquet agency, and got accused of being not responsible and never book my job days. i'm new la, and they say monday THEY will call ME and it's only monday MORNING when they called me. So they accused me of not calling them to book my job days, and i totally went wtf. until i say you all say today then will call and today's monday then the guy went, oh good point. good point your head la so angry at the guy. grrr.
so tuesday, the recruit express from west called me in the morning to offer me this telemarketing job, which at first i rejected. telemarketing sounds so sian, but after he told me abt the job scope and abt the things that i have to call and promote to the companies about, and the working environment and those temp's feedback, i decided to give it a try, and the pay's good, $8/hr, but it's at chinatown though. and since all jobs are bound to be boring :x got a phone interview, and initially i thought i wouldnt get it cause no notice and office hours are ending. in the end i received a call from him at 5.55pm and he said i got the job omg happygirl93!! :D
and then, my mum told me at night that my aunt wanted her son to learn piano and ask me whether wan to teach a 5/6 year old kid or not ._. stress omg but i took it up also LOL so now i have 3 jobs. there's a possiblity of a 4th job which is tutoring my sec1 cousin who lives with that same aunt that wanted me to teach piano. like wow :O
seems like all the jobs always come at 1 go. when i'm jobless i'm jobless. when i'm with job, more jobs come and find me :O
anw, so went for the ''interview'' today, and i got it :D reached there and weishan happened to be working there, so coincidental!! with another nanhua girl as well, so i think i wont be lonely :) the office seems to be pretty noisy and the people there are all chatting and saying alot of nonsense and quite friendly, looks like a pretty fun place heh. hope i'll fit in comfortably!! supposed to start training today, but the trainer was busy, so i'm starting training and work next monday instead :) heh.
aye hope i can handle and do my piano stuff as well, diploma is so stressful :( but the amount of money yayyyyyyyy i can finally buy my own stuff with my hard-earned money, cant wait!! :D
